About

A business hand made in East Devon

For many years we have always bought and burnt candles from independent and national stores. We decided to attend a candle course to learn a new skill and that’s where we caught the bug to start researching and learning candle making. Initially this was to make gifts for family at Christmas a few years ago.

Our hobby developed into a business once friends and family started to enquire about purchasing so we decided to start All Things Nice @ 29. Just trying to come up with the name took a good few weeks. We run the business in our spare time as we work full time and it’s become quite the family affair with photos on the website by Sam’s aunt Elaine Boles and graphic design by Sam’s cousin Alex Jackson.

When we are not running the business or working for our employers we like to get out and enjoy the beautiful coast line on our doorstep.

The business is based from our home in East Devon. We started the business from our kitchen making a few trays of wax melts at time but we soon ran out of space once the dining room table was full. We have now expanded in terms of making space and storage and the kitchen stove is now free from wax pots!

All our wax melts, candles and diffusers are hand poured and mixed by Graham and Sam. We use natural wax and animal cruelty-free fragrance oils.

In October 2019 we attended our first local craft fair and have been attending craft fairs since. Attending the craft fairs enables customers to see and smell our products prior to purchasing. It’s lovely when we see customers getting excited about scents when they remind them of a memory. Over the last year we have grown a lovely customer base and hope this will continue with the website side of the business.

We hope you enjoy our products as much as we do. Keep checking back as we are always looking at new scents and developing our range.

Thanks for supporting us!
